StrongMumsNI offers online specialised postnatal fitness classes for ALL mums. No matter what age your children are, we share common challenges - whether that's lack of body confidence, back pain, poor posture, weak pelvic floor, diastasis recti (split abdominal muscles), strained mental health or simply not knowing where to start.

We want to help mums create a better and more confident version of themselves. We want to support them on their journey to a stronger body & mind through fitness, better nutrition, community and peer support.

About me

I'm Laura Nelson from Craigavon, Co Armagh, I lost my little girl Emily in tragic circumstances. Laura and her husband Andrew Nelson (43) were expecting a baby girl when they attended Craigavon hospital for a 20-week scan in August 2016. The couple already had one child – Georgia (now 8), but had suffered a miscarriage earlier that year. They were excited for the arrival of their little daughter who they’d already named Emily.

Well what can I say, I can not recommend laura enough. I currently go to Laura’s 7.30pm classes and I love them. Laura tailors her classes to suit every level of fitness which consists of cardio/weights/core work etc. There is never 2 classes the same and that’s what I love. She adapts different exercises for anyone with injuries, post pregnancy trauma, prolapses, abdominal split etc.

I love the zoom sessions! I was so nervous for the first one but there was literally nothing to be nervous about. I love that Laura acknowledges everyone, supports and encourages us. I look forward to them every week and be absolutely buzzing afterwards. It puts me in a better mood and I feel like I can tackle whatever the day may throw at me
